• PRN weekend coverage as needed

Position summary:

• The Mental Health Social Worker provides psychosocial assessments, histories and interventions for each hospitalized mental health patient. Participates with the physician, nurses and other professional members of the team in the development of treatment and discharge plans. Provides family therapy with patients’ families upon physician’s orders. Serves as the Health Center liaison to the Probate Court in relation to involuntary patients. Provides in-house consultation and information in response to requests from the community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited graduate school of social work, psychology or counseling.

Required length and type of experience:

• Two years work experience in providing mental health services. Knowledge of medical and psychiatric terminology and diagnostic criteria. Knowledge of community resources and managed care organizations.

Required licensure, certification or registry:

• Licensed as an LSW or LPC in the State of Ohio.
