The Director of Quality Management creates, leads, coordinates and manages all aspects of the comprehensive quality program.  This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring the goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives for Southwest General Health Center.  The Director works closely with a variety of stakeholders, coordinating the activities of Quality and Patient Safety across the organization.  Ultimately, the Director of Quality Management is accountable for all system-wide quality improvement activities to include physician quality.

Works with Southwest executive team in organizational strategic planning, fostering the values and supporting the objectives of SW with the development of annual system quality goals and annual quality accomplishments.  Ensures successful implementation of the performance improvement activities that bring value to SW.  Meets all external agency requirements including accreditation agencies, Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services, Ohio Department of Health, AHRQ, other regulatory and quality initiative programs such as Leapfrog and Q-Hip.  Oversees clinical risk management, infection control, regulatory, medical staff quality and data repository.

Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Health Related field required, Master degree preferred.

Required length and type of experience:  Minimum of 5 years clinical experience.  Experience in Quality Management required.

Required licensure, certification or registry:  Health Related field licensure required.  CPHQ required (must obtained within first year of appointment).
