BIG CREEK SURGERY CENTER REGISTERED NURSE

Big Creek Surgery Center of Southwest General is a freestanding, state-of-the-art, outpatient surgical facility. They have 4 main OR’s and 2 procedure rooms, offering orthopedic, plastics, ENT, podiatry, pediatric dental, and pain block procedures.

The ambulatory surgery center is the ideal setting to consider if you desire to transition from bedside nursing.  Family friendly hours, Monday through Friday, no weekends, nights, or call.

POSITION SUMMARY:
A professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and teaching, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. They act as a liaison between physicians, patient and family, and collaborates with other health care members. They assist in the orientation process of new personnel, and may participate in health center and department committees. The staff nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age groups according to specific chronological age, developmental age, and/or psycho-social maturity.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by Ohio State Board of Nursing.

Required length of experience:
Previous experience in specific nursing area required such as pre-admission testing, circulating, PACU, OR, etc.   

Required licensure, certification, and/or registry:
Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing. 
CPR, BLS required, ACLS preferred.
