RADIOLOGY AND DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES FOR GREATER CLEVELAND

Southwest General Health Center offers state-of-the-art imaging technology to support accurate, timely diagnosis and treatment. Procedures include a wide range of services from basic x-ray studies to sophisticated, real-time imaging of the heart. We offer comprehensive imaging services at multiple locations: Middleburg Heights, Strongsville, and Brunswick.


SONOGRAPHER

POSITION SUMMARY:
The sonographer will perform general ultrasound exams that include OB/GYN, abdomen, small parts, breast, interventional and pediatrics.  The primary duties will include:

  • Collects and documents medical history from patient.
  • Utilizes the RIS system for obtaining previous studies and reports.
  • Consults with radiologists to ensure appropriate procedure and process is followed.
  • Provides professional, safe and compassionate care for all patients.
  • Have the ability to be proactive to safeguard any potential adverse events.
  • Assist with departmental operations, patient workflow and scheduling.
  • Knowledgeable of PACS, OB reporting system, EMR, and teleradiology.
  • Mentors students from contracted sonography schools.
  • Ability to float to respective off-site locations.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Must be a graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Sonography school. 

Required length of experience:
One (1) year of hospital experience preferred but not required.

Required licensure, certification, and/or registry:
ARDMS required (Students must obtain registry one year after hire).
CPR certification required.
