MEDICAL ASSISTANT - SEIDMAN MEDICAL ONCOLOGY
Southwest General’s Seidman Cancer Center is partner with University Hospitals to offer services at convenient, close-to-home locations throughout the region. We recognizing that many patients prefer not to travel far for treatment. Within this department you can expect to provides ambulatory acute care to adult oncology patients.  

HOURS:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., with varied start and end times

POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist physicians and staff for general patient care and clerical duties in a physician office - outpatient setting. Demonstrates initiative to take appropriate action in day-to-day activities without being prompted. Able to problem solve and stay current with Healthcare and payor regulations. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
High school graduate, minimum; certification from approved school with certificate in Medical assisting preferred. Medical terminology required. Able to perform computer entry and basic office computer skills.

Required length of experience:
Externship of at least 100 hours or 6 months previous office/OP setting experience preferred.
