SIMULATION TECHNOLOGIST

Summary

POSITION INFORMATION

• Position summary:

  • The Simulation Technologist is responsible for the day to day operation of all equipment along with logistics and maintenance of that equipment. The Technologist runs simulation scenarios for Clinical Orientation, mock codes, RRTs, department specific training, etc. that require collaboration and schedule flexibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by Ohio State Board of Nursing or Graduated from a state accredited paramedic program. 

  
  Required length and type of experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years experience as Advanced Cardiac Life Support provider.

  • Experience with computer and audio-visual equipment use, setup, troubleshooting and maintenance.

  • Understanding of hospital medical equipment including monitors, IV pumps, beds, etc.

  • Experience with instruction of the adult learner required.

  
  Required licensure, certification or registry:

  • Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing or Currently certified paramedic by the State of Ohio required.

  • CPR certification required.

  • ACLS required.

  • PALS preferred.

  • ITLS preferred.
