• POSITION INFORMATION
  • Position summary:
    • Interacts daily with students and is a fundamental link in school health services. A licensed nurse who provides school health services for students under the direction and supervision of School Health Coordinator. Participates in the healthcare process in planning, implementing and evaluating care of student. Acts as a liaison between health center, healthcare providers and the school. Assists School Health Coordinator and School Health Specialist lll in the orientation process of new staff. Actively participates in health center and department process improvements. The Float and PRN staff will support the work of the full time clinic staff, attend all staff meetings/in-services and be flexible in their assignments. School Health Specialists caring for medically fragile students organize and implement student specific school health care and request assistance from School Health Specialist and/or School Health Specialist lll in obtaining, reviewing and implementing specific doctor’s orders.
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education:
    • LPN required. RN preferred. Bachelor’s Degree/ Certification in School Health and/or Pediatrics preferred.
  • 
    Required length and type of experience:
    • Required Licensure, Certification or Registry: Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare. Experience in pediatrics or school health preferred.
  • 
    Required licensure, certification or registry:
    • Current Ohio LPN, RN license. Current CPR certification.
